A
13 CE credit continuing education program which will highlight a
variety of topics that are of contemporary clinical interest. Didactic
lectures are offered that will focus on current thinking concerning the
problems of post-op optic neuropathy, negative pressure pulmonary
edema, obesity and the administration of anesthesia for patients who
have undergone an organ transplant. Discussions will also center on
anesthesia machine technology and trans-esophageal echo cardiography.
The Sunday Session will concentrate on management of several common
anesthesia disasters with suggestions as to how they may be prevented.
Robotic surgery and anesthesia management will be discussed as will the recognition and management of a difficult pediatric airway.
As always, ample time is provided for discussion, questions and answers.
